Is it possible to use different sensors (light, rain and wind) from those suggested?

The anemometer namely the wind sensor is a simple square wave signal and most of sensors have got the same features, but should the sensor have a different wavelength, it could be difficult to adapt it to the control unit. As far as light and rain sensors are concerned, compatibility is rather difficult, since they are simple current signals.

How can 5 automations be operated by the control unit SHADE.4?

In order to use 5 automations, it is possible to connect the control unit SHADE.4 with the control unit SHADE.1 by splitting the command between the two control units to operate together the input of the control unit SHADE.1 and the input ALL of the SHADE.4

How does the serial connection in the SHADE.4 work?

Each control unit can operate up to 4 automations. The serial connection between more control units (Bus communication through two cables connected to the dedicated terminal board) with Master/Slave operation logic, allows controlling up to 7 control units and consequently 32 motors.

Is the control unit equipped with limit switches?

The control unit is not equipped with the input for the limit switches, as it was designed to be used with motors for rolling shutters already equipped with limit switches on-board that stop the motor phase.

Is it possible to use 24V photocells like the PUPILLA?

The output provided allows for the connection of 12V photocells. The model that accepts this kind of output is the PUPILLA.T

How many transmitters can be memorised?

The built-in receiver in the control unit works with three different encoding systems and allows memorising up to 64 transmitters.

Is there only one kind of master transmitter?

No, there are two different options to create master transmitters according to the security level you want to achieve. Highest security, master transmitters cannot be duplicated, and basic security, master transmitters can be duplicated countless times. In the first case, all Benincà transmitters with ARC encoding system (A, VA or AK series) can be used as master transmitters. In order to become master transmitters, they must be set up with ARC coding and, once turned into masters, they will not command the automation any more, but they will become real, unique access keys to the receiver of the system; it is not possible to make copies. Maximum 3 master transmitters can be memorised in each receiver. In case of basic security, by using some special transmitters of the TO.GO4AK-MS series, after memorising the transmitters in the receiver, it is possible to duplicate the transmitter turned into master as many times as you want. The duplicated transmitter is an exact copy of the master, even in this case the limit of maximum 3 different master transmitters in each receiver does not change. Each TO.GO4AK-MS transmitter, through a procedure similar to the one of the AK transmitters, allows learning the code of maximum 4 master transmitters (each button can be associated to a different master).

Is it possible to use the same master transmitter in different installations?

Yes, but we recommend using different master transmitters in the installations, especially when the receivers are located within the range of the transmitters. In these cases, the use of the transmitter enabled by the master could activate a different receiver from the one in the installation concerned. If you want to use the same master transmitter, it is advisable to consider the signal range namely at least 500 m as a safe limit.

Can the master transmitter be used to operate the automation?

No, once memorised, the master transmitter becomes a real key for the memorisation of new transmitters and is no more enabled to command the automations.

How can slave transmitters be enabled through the use of the master transmitter?

There are two possibilities, the first one implies the physical presence in the installation. Through the master transmitter, a signal is sent to the control unit allowing the memorisation of the transmitter we want to memorise. The second one concerns the remote enabling procedure, by using the master transmitter and a transmitter of the AK series it is possible to memorise a new transmitter without having access to the installation.

Is it possible to delete a transmitter? If so, how?

If the memory of the receiver ONE.2WB-MS has been managed through the programming device Advantouch, it is possible to delete a transmitter. In this regard, you can watch the tutorial video on our website in order to understand how to carry out this procedure.

Can the master transmitter have any encoding systems?

In order to memorise the master transmitters, it is necessary to set up the ARC encoding system in the receiver. It is not possible to use the master transmitter and the slave function with fixed code or HCS encoding system.

If the master transmitter is lost, is it possible to reset the memory of the receiver?

Yes, of course, it is possible to reset the whole memory and start the programming again. If the programming was carried out through the Advantouch instead, it is possible to create another master transmitter without deleting the memory of the receiver.

In order to make a backup copy of the master transmitter, do you always have to use the programming device Advantouch?

It depends on the security level chosen for a specific installation and the kind of master transmitters memorised in the receiver. In case of the highest security namely of standard transmitters with ARC coding memorised as master transmitters, it is necessary to use the Advantouch to create a backup copy of the master. Once the backup has been created with the programming device, in case of loss of the master transmitter, it will be possible to programme a new transmitter as master. In case of the basic level of security using TO.GO4AK.MS transmitters to duplicate the master, it is not necessary to use the programming device Advantouch to make a backup, as the duplication procedure of the access key allows creating a copy of the master if this is lost. It is clear that, since it is a «duplication» of the access key, anyone taking possession of the Master can have access to all the installations having this specific master transmitter by using the transmitters TO.GO4AK-MS. It is necessary to take this case into account if you are going to use the same master for all your installations.

Can the same master transmitter be used in different installations?

Yes, of course. The receiver recognises the master transmitter through the code sent; in order to avoid activating different receivers from those in the installation concerned, it is advisable to consider the signal range namely at least 500 m as a safe limit.

Once the new transmitter has been memorised as slave in the receiver, does it command both channels?

Only if the master transmitter was enabled to command both channels, otherwise the slave transmitter will operate only the channel originally commanded by the master. This also concerns the creation of other slave transmitters through the remote procedure with a transmitter of the AK series. If a transmitter TO.GO4AK-MS is used as master, the duplication process of the master transmitter will follow the same logic. The new master transmitter will be enabled for the same channels of the original master.

Is there a maximum number of master transmitters that can be memorised in the receiver?

Yes, in each receiver, it is possible to memorise maximum 3 master transmitters. By using the new transmitter TO.GO4AK-MS, it is possible to duplicate the master transmitter countless times, making in this way more copies of the same master: the receiver will not distinguish the copies of the original master, consequently all the copies will not take up further space in the memory. The duplication can be carried out only after the memorisation of the transmitter and its enablement as master.
