Automatic bollard, RISE range

How does the bollard react in the event of a power failure?

The user has got the possibility to choose either to make the bollard go down automatically if the power is off (accessory AUT), or to normally operate it both up and down through the UPS kit (“K” version of the control units).

What is the UPS battery life?

The battery capacity changes according to the model of the control unit and it allows a continuous operation of the bollards for about an hour.

How does the bollard react in case of a forced lowering?

If the weight is greater than 300 kg (axle load supporting capacity), the control unit is equipped with the “anti-vandal function” that sends a rising command to the bollard and activates a dedicated output to which an alarm system can be connected.

What happens if the bollard detects an obstacle while rising?

The bollard detects the obstacle thanks to the amperometric sensor combined with the encoder, so that it reverses the movement in order to avoid any damages.

Is an additional control unit necessary to manage safety devices?

The management of safety devices like loop detectors and photocells is integrated, the operating modes can be set up through dip-switches (6 logics).

Is an additional control unit necessary to manage traffic lights?

No, the management and the power supply of the traffic light are integrated in the control unit, which also allows setting up the activation time.

What are the structural differences between the bollards Vigilant and Force?

The internal components (recirculating ball screw, motor, control unit, electric brake…) are the same for all our electromechanical bollards. The models distinguish themselves only for the diameter and the thickness of the cylinder.

What is the impact resistance of the bollards?

The impact resistance changes according to the model, it goes from 11.000 Joule of Vigilant to 18.000 Joule of Force.

What is the breaking strength of the bollards?

This strength also changes according to the model, it goes from 180.000 Joule of the Vigilant to 240.000 Joule of the Force.

What is the operating temperature?

Since bollards have no hydraulic components, 24V electromechanical models are not sensitive to temperature variations. We have got installations working regularly at -20°C as well as +50°C.

How many bollards can be operated at the same time?

A single control unit can operate up to 4 bollards, but it is possible to connect more control units to each other in order to achieve a simultaneous operation.

How many cycles can be carried out daily by the bollard?

The bollard can work with a continuous operation.

What is the average lifespan of the bollard namely the MTBF (mean time between failures)?

We have tested the bollard with a continuous operation and have certified an average lifespan of 3.000.000 cycles.

Is there a limit for the cable length?

The maximum length of the standard cable is 25 m, but we have also made installations with 45 m long cables.
