Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas: marine sector and saline environments

The marine sector requires solutions that can withstand a highly aggressive environment. On cruise ships and yachts, it is essential to guarantee maximum resistance and durability to salinity and different weather conditions. The Luce Works range of automated systems for single leaf (up to 200 kg) or doubleb leaf (up to 130 + 130 kg) sliding doors is ideal, with components and screws made entirely from AISI 316L stainless steel. The box, which houses the motor and electronics, is IP65 certified for maximum water and dust tightness. Furthermore, thanks to the functions offered by the control unit, designed specifically for the marine sector, Luce Works has been chosen as the automation system for many cruise ships and yachts, even in the ultra-luxury sector.

Last week marked the end of CSI Expo America, a major event for those like Myone who provide innovative solutions for this ever-growing sector. Francesca Brazzale, Business Development Manager, tells us all about this experience and the industry’s latest trends. "CSI Expo America connects interior suppliers with the world's most prestigious cruise lines, international designers, and shipyards. Thanks to this exclusive access door, we participated in a sector-specific session to understand how design can enhance guest experience in new construction projects and learn about new hospitality concepts. According to Francesca Brazzale, “When designing interiors, it's crucial to understand the needs of all guests. With Gen Z shaking up the industry, it's critical to study these new travellers to understand everything about them, from their spending habits to lifestyles.” Hotel & Resort Design South was also held at the same time as the Miami Beach Convention Center from 7 to 9 June, providing yet another window into the hotel industry, which is starting to offer its own marine experience in the premium market. "Many giants of the hotel sector have recently announced their intention to enter this business. For example, the Four Seasons Yachts project at Project SAMA in Aman and the Evrima, the new cruise ship of the famous luxury hotel chain Ritz-Carlton, bring the luxury experience from its 90 hotels in over 30 countries to the sea. We have many ideas to work on to make a good impression at CSI Design Expo Europe in London." Concluded Francesca Brazzale.
