When automating a sliding gate installed on a slope, it is essential to consider the forces at play that may affect the proper functioning of the system. In these situations, the movement of the gate is never neutral: gravity tends to push the gate downhill, generating noise, wear, and, in some cases, uncontrolled movements. To solve these issues, we offer a range of radial brakes designed to ensure safety, quiet operation, and smooth movement.
The operating principle is simple yet effective: the brake provides resistance in only one direction of rotation, thereby limiting and controlling the gate’s downhill speed, keeping it constant both with the automation running and in case of motor release. Our range includes different solutions, adaptable to various installation types:
- Standard version (7 Nm): a compact solution that minimizes sliding and ensures smooth movement. Available with M4 (199.1) or M6 (199.3) pinion.
- Intermediate version (14 Nm): obtained by installing two brakes in parallel using a dedicated bracket (199.11). This configuration is an ideal compromise for gates requiring higher resistance without reaching excessive levels.
- Enhanced version (30 Nm): designed for heavier gates or significant slopes, ensuring optimal speed control. Also available with M4 (199.2) or M6 (199.4) pinion.
All models are designed for outdoor use, made with corrosion-resistant materials, and engineered to guarantee maximum durability over time. Thanks to this range, it is possible to choose the most suitable resistance for the gate’s features and slope, always ensuring safe, quiet, and controlled movement.
